We offer a range of group sessions each year that cover various topics for people living with Diabetes. Session topics include: learning how to make great food choices when living with diabetes, and how to manage your overall health and wellbeing.

Children's Dietetics Service

Children and infants need adequate nutrition for their optimal growth and development. A lot of factors can affect their food intake. Our skilled and experienced dietitians will work with your child and you to improve their nutrition intake.

Our dietitians support your child in making positive changes in their eating habits and enhance the feeding relationship between carers and the child. Areas that we can assist with include:

  • Nutrition, healthy eating and meal planning
  • Lunchbox ideas
  • Infant feeding and introducing solids
  • Bowel issues and reflex
  • Food behaviour issues
  • Growth concerns

Our dietitians are experienced in providing tailored diet advice to assist in the management of a range of complex conditions and disabilities to improve quality of life and physical health. Our dietitians can support:

  • People with swallowing and chewing difficulties
  • Fussy eating
  • Children and adults with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, and ADHD
  • Weight management
  • Gastrointestinal issues such as constipation, IBS or coeliac disease

Chinese Healthy Eating Forum

Studies have indicated that Chinese people are at higher risk of developing diabetes and other chronic disease related to lifestyle.

Small changes can effectively help to reduce the risk of disease and improve health.

Diabetes Victoria and healthAbility are working together to bring you a Chinese Healthy Eating Forum. In this forum our Dietitian can provide guidance on healthy eating to help you improve your health.
