Men's Shed farewell BBQ featuring some men at a table inside eating lunch

Our Men's Shed program is relocating from its current location at Nadrasca in Nunawading, as Nadrasa which provides disability services are in need of additional space as they expand their services. The Shedders are excited to temporarily move to the Manningham Men's Shed for the next 6 to 12 months in collaboration with Access Health, until they find their forever home.

As they start this exciting new chapter, the Shedders wanted to celebrate and reflect on the wonderful connections, projects and memories made at the Men's Shed. We would like to thank and acknowledge Nadrasca for their support of our Men's Shed program over the last decade.

“We are really grateful for the time we’ve shared at Nadrasca and we wish them well, particularly for their clients. Also, we are very appreciative of this opportunity to share the Manningham facility with Access Health. The people at the Men's Shed there have been very welcoming.” Stewart Blair - Men's Shed and Facilities Support Manager

The Men’s Shed participants come from all different backgrounds and walks of life. One of the major benefits of attending the shed is getting an opportunity to connect with others in a social environment. "It's all about men's mental health and wellbeing" said Stewart - Men's Shed and Facilities Support Manager. "Meeting all the men and learning their life stories and what the Men’s Shed means to each of them has been a highlight".

This week is our last official week at Nadrasca and we have organised farewell barbeques for the different groups. On August 8, we will be starting at Manningham Men's Shed.
